Abstract

|
The pertechnetate anion (99m TcO:) is selectively accumulated and subsequently excreted into the-bowel lumen by the mucoid surface cells´of the gastric mucosa, so 99m Tc-pertechnetate abdominal scan is the only specific and noninvasive method to diagnose Meckel´s diverticulum containing ectopic gastric mucosa.
We report a case of Meckel´s diverticulum detected by 99m Tc-pertechnetate scan with review of the literatures.
